We're headed across the pond to check out the Victoria and Albert in London. We will focus on the decorative arts which run the gamut from wallpaper to jewelry, costumes and even eyeglasses. Think of the V & A as England’s attic with lots of surprises.
The Victoria and Albert Museum in the United Kingdom is the world's largest museum of applied arts, decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852 as the Museum of Manufactures, and subsequently renamed in honour of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Come join us virtually for a spirited and enjoyable trip with our guest webinar lecturer, Ms. Lee Rubenstein as she spins us through the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Our speaker, Ms. Lee Rubenstein, is a most active and entertaining lecturer. She holds dual degrees in English and History with a minor in Art History. She has been leading gallery tours for students at the Getty since 2012. In addition, she created and runs a volunteer art program in a Title I school.
This is a per-household event, so you can have as many persons gather around your screen as you can safely and comfortably accommodate. But you must register to receive the ZOOM link-which will be sent out to only those who register. That link will be sent out via email a few days in advance of the lecture. Kindly make sure that you use the correct email when registering.
There is no charge to attend this program.
