Millennium Biltmore Hotel - Docent Led Tour
Step inside one of downtown L.A.’s ritziest hotels on the LA Conservancy Millennium Biltmore Hotel Walking Tour!
Once the largest hotel west of Chicago, its magnificent architecture has attracted countless celebrities and dignitaries since its opening in 1923, including Rudolph Valentino, the Prince of Wales, J. Paul Getty, Howard Hughes, Herbert Hoover, and Eleanor Roosevelt. You might even recognize it from many beloved films and shows, from Pretty in Pink and Ghostbusters to Fight Club.
Do not miss this Beaux Arts marvel! After the tour, you may want to stay for high tea in the hotel's magnificent Rendezvous Court (additional cost; for tea reservations call the Millennium Biltmore at 213-612-1562). Tea is not included in the tour cost.
Tour: Is 2 hours and includes stairs.
No rest stops and nowhere the tour sits down.
Cost is: $20 for UCLARA members and
$25 for one guest.
Meeting Location: UCLARA members and guests will meet in the center of Pershing Square Park, by the central walkway near the mini-groves of orange trees. Pershing Square is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, between Olive and Hill, 5th and 6th Streets at 532 S. Olive Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. If the square is closed or otherwise inaccessible to the public, our alternate location will be the Olive Street entrance to the hotel. Please carpool when possible.
Parking: Parking is available at the Pershing Square Garage ($9.00 all day on weekends). Enter the garage from 6th Street or Olive Street.
Please register no later than Friday, February 14, 2020.
Cancellation Policy: If a cancellation is necessary, a full refund will be given if the cancellation is requested by Friday, February 7, 2020. For any cancellations after February 7, 2020, a full refund will be given only if a person on the waiting list can take the space.
Credit Card Payments: The UCLARA utilizes PayPal to process credit card payments. If you do not have a PayPal account, please scroll down on the payment screen and choose "Pay with Credit Card." Without a PayPal account, you will need to enter your contact information a second time to finalize the payment.
